Oakley Releases London 2012 Sunglasses Range
With the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games fast approaching, iconic sports eyewear brand Oakley, an official sponsor of the event, has released a range of commemorative sunglasses for the events.
The collection, instantly recognisable as Oakley due to signature features such as colourful frameless lenses and sport-inspired heavy duty structure, will include two Team GB performance styles, Radar Path and Flak Jacket, and two London 2012 active-lifestyle models, the heavier London 2012 Fuel Cell model, and the lightweight London 2012 Scalpel.
Oakley’s Team GB sunglasses feature patriotic colours
The Team GB Radar Path sunglasses feature the red and blue colours of Team GB with red ear socks, red iridium lenses and blue frames. The lighter Flak Jacket models are inspired by water sports such as sailing and rowing and as such are coloured blue and white with grey polarised lenses, to block reflected glare from the water.
These limited-edition sunglasses will feature the Team GB or London 2012 logos etched onto the lenses and either a Union Jack-inspired Oakley logo or London 2012 artwork on the arms. All four models are sold with commemorative packaging and a Team GB or London 2012-branded soft cloth storage bag.
“All four products utilise Oakley’s patented High Definition Optics to offer the ultimate clarity and protection, Plutonite lenses for unrivalled visibility and UV protection, plus the unbeatable comfort of a lightweight, stress-resistant ‘O Matter’ frame” said Oakley.
