Get ready for Reading Festival with our Favourite Specs
This weekend marks the beginning of Reading Festival 2012. With headliners including Foo Fighters, Kasabian and The Cure, it’s predicted to be a great weekend.
But for those of us with glasses, camping can be fraught with difficulties. Here are a few simple tips for looking after your glasses over the festival weekend:
1. Take baby wipes or cleansing wipes to keep the frames clean. With mud and rain forecast for Reading, it’s important to keep your glasses looking fresh.
2. Remember to pack a glasses case. Although you might be wearing your specs on the journey, a hard case will be ideal for making sure they aren’t crushed or damaged overnight.
3. Take a spare pair just in case your favourites do get broken. Trying to find your small tent in a field of a thousand tents won’t be made any easier with poor vision.
4. If you’re planning on wearing contact lenses to save your glasses, don’t forget to take eye wash, drops, and a contact lens case. With limited access to showers, it’s important to keep your eyes clean and refreshed.
These are our favourite summer festival specs:
David Grohl from the Foo Fighters has been seen sporting a pair of semi-rimless frames like these JK London Hoxton glasses. Try these for a cool retro festival look.
Alternatively, for quirky festival style, take inspiration from Florence Welch who wore a pair of oversized round sunglasses at Coachella. These Ray Ban RB3447 sunglasses are ideal for recreating her iconic style. They feature a metal gold frame with oversized Ray Ban G15 lenses.
All our glasses come with a protective case to keep your frames safe wherever you go.
